The project of Tian Long Hotel Zhumadian, a four-star joint venture business hotel, was approved by the National Planning Commission, the State Economic and Trade Commission, and the National Tourism Administration. The hotel officially opened on 28th August 1999, and it was awarded four stars on 28th October 2000.

The hotel is located at No. 289 Wenming Road, Zhumadian City, Henan Province, adjacent to National Highway 107 and Beijing-Zhuhai expressway, and it offers convenient transportation. Covering a total area of 79,000 square metres, the hotel has over 20,000 square metres of garden grounds and a building area of 30,000 square metres, which includes four buildings. Building A, the main hotel building, has 204 guest rooms and suites; buildings B, C and E, which comprise the express guesthouse, has 231 rooms in total. The decoration and design, the style and colour scheme of the furnishings and the overall layout of the guest rooms are modern and refined, such that the guests are immersed in a rich artistic atmosphere. The elegant Chinese and Western restaurants and the luxurious private dining rooms on the ground floor can accommodate a thousand guests. In addition, the main building has modern multi-function hall and conference room facilities, a fully equipped and serviced business centre, shopping mall, bookstore, hair and beauty salon, billiards room, gym and tea centre.

The completion and opening of Tian Long Hotel raised the bar for Zhumadian’s reception service standards, and played a positive role in accelerating the city’s economic development and expanding the customer reach. The hotel has received delegates of the Investment and Trade Fair for Cooperation between Eastern and Western China eight times; in March 2003, it received a dozen foreign guests from all five continents attending the international medicinal mushroom conference in Biyang County, and in March 2004, it received China’s Vice Premier Comrade Wu Yi. In 2005, it received the Premier of China Comrade Wen Jiabao, former vice chairman of the 7th National People’s Congress Comrade Peng Peiyun and the CPPCC vice chairman Comrade Hao Jianxiu; in September 2006, it received the CPPCC vice chairman Comrade Zhang Siqing; in April 2007, it received the vice chairman of the National People’s Congress Comrade Cheng Siwei. It has also received the CPPCC vice chairman Comrade Ma Wanqi, Comrade Sun Fuling, the president of Thailand’s Chia Tai Group Mr. Xie Guomin, the UAE ambassador, and other party and state leaders, celebrities and international friends. The hotel has won international praise for its excellent quality of service.
